Housing and Regeneration Transdisciplinary Meeting

The Housing and Regeneration Cluster of the Centre hosted a meeting on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) on the 3rd of March, 2020 at the Centre. The objective of the meeting was to identify issues surrounding transportation and Transit Oriented Development as it affects housing in Lagos State. Specific agencies within the government were in attendance of this meeting, in order to give more insight into the activities of the Lagos State Government. Also, for them to share their experiences from other cities, in order to develop a schematic study on Housing and Transit Oriented Development. The study is part of a funded research by the ARUA Centre for Habitable Cities, under the UKRI-GCRF partnership programme for Capacity Building Grant. The study is also taking place in the University of Nairobi, University of Zambia, American International University West Africa in Gambia and about four other universities across Africa, who are also looking into TOD in other African Cities.
